Relaxation exercise: fingertips

    Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Now gently rub two fingertips against each other, with light pressure, so that you feel the fine grooves and ridges on both fingertips. Do this for about twenty seconds. If thoughts arise, gently release them and focus on the sensation again. Now touch the device you are reading on and feel all the sensations on your fingertips – its texture, its temperature. Gently move your fingertips so you can feel more. Do this for about thirty seconds. Now open your eyes.
