Provide for rest

    Sprache lernen im Vorübergehen! Lernposter

Ensuring tranquility is important in learning. There is power in rest. This is not an old-fashioned saying, but still corresponds to the truth. Everything has become so noisy anyway, so you should at least provide a quiet environment when learning. A noisy learning environment is certainly not conducive. So please make sure that your child can learn in peace. As parents, please also behave quietly yourself and ask siblings or roommates to remain quiet while learning is taking place. Cell phones should also be turned down, as well as the PC’s, so that the child is not constantly chatting in between. This may be fun for the child, but it certainly doesn’t bring much learning success.

A quiet and undisturbed learning environment simply ensures that your child can concentrate at its best. This in turn, of course, firstly causes them to learn effectively and secondly also saves them lots of time as they simply finish faster.Constant distractions are bad for good learning results. So also urge your child not to listen to loud music, preferably via headphones, while learning. It simply doesn’t do any good. They can listen to music in peace and quiet even after the learning unit. Then he or she can even enjoy it, because the work is done. Of course, this does not only apply to music, but to everything that is distracting. So please don’t leave the TV on when your child is studying in your room. The fewer distracting things there are in the room, the sooner your child will finish. If outside noise, for example from construction sites, is disturbing, simply get your child earplugs.

But it has to be said in all honesty: not every child is the same. There are children and adolescents who can still work in a relaxed manner even in the greatest noise. But these are rather rare. By the way, there is nothing to be said against soft, quiet music in the background. There are also children and teenagers who learn even better then. You know best what type your child is. If he or she is easily distracted, everything that could distract him or her will be turned off during the learning session. But if your child is a multitasking person, you don’t need to pay so much attention. It is simply important to support your child according to its characteristics wherever possible.

Many learn for example only in the presence of a parent – or sibling well, because it would like to exchange itself in the middle of the learning material or simply help is always ready. This should also be taken into account, if your child belongs to these types, then stay with him as long as he learns. There is no pattern F, with any learning methodology. Every child is unique, every child is to be treated differently. Therefore, you should always make sure that you act individually and not stubbornly according to templates. This applies to this guidebook as well as to all other parenting guides. Tips are guides, nothing more, but also nothing less. The only important thing is that you, as parents, are there for your child and respond to his or her needs and abilities in the best possible way and support him or her wherever possible. So that it can achieve the best learning results and thus also many motivating learning successes.
